BeaLocal – Knit ‘n Kaboodle by KLM

My 4th of July memories are filled with picnics, fairs, and of course… craft shows! Craft shows are so fun, and they are an awesome way for local vendors to share their products with one another and with the public. That is the same goal I have with my BeaLocal blog series.

Today I am featuring Knit ‘n Kaboodle by KLM Designz. First of all, I love their name! It’s so fun! And with a slogan of “Don’t just knit something, knit something beautiful,” you know they care about the products they produce. Knit ‘n Kaboodle offers a variety of knitted products including the original Leaf Cup Cuddler, hand knit corner bookmarks, and hand embroidered pouches of all sizes.

BeaInspired – Independence Day – 4th of July!

This week our blog is going to be devoted to celebrating our Independence Day, the 4th of July! Each of our themed series, as well as our free svg giveaways will be themed around this momentous holiday.

Today we got inspired by the 4th of July for a birthday card. A very patriotic friend and colleague was celebrating his birthday and I volunteered to make the card. A few techniques from previous blogs went into making this star studded card including: Glitter Covered shapes, shadow cutouts, and using your Cricut.

It turned out great, and my colleague absolutely loved it. Get inspired by the red, white and blue folks! And be sure to upload your projects to our Facebook page to show us how you got inspired by the 4th of July!

BeaLocal – HennaTrails

Through my new role on the Butte County Etsy Treasury Team I have had the opportunity to find a bunch of new local crafters to spotlight. This week I chose HennaTrails. This shop might be one of the most unique shops I have seen on Etsy. HennaTrails combines the beautiful art of henna painting with household items to create beautiful works of art that will enhance any space.

Their profile shares that the goal of HennaTrails is to enrich personal spaces with hand painted henna art. They use henna paste to create embossed designs on wood, fine rice papers, and other surfaces. They seal each project to ensure quality and longevity. The henna paste stains the textiles that are used, into a beautiful golden tone as seen in the photo below.

These works of art are absolutely stunning, and have excellent price points for any home. These beautiful pieces will continually take your breath away and would make a great addition to any home.
