BeaOrganized – Sewing Bobbins

My Mom’s junk drawer has yet to fail in providing resources for my BeaOrganized blog! This week I found one of these metal rings. I actually Googled these types of rings to see what they could be used for and found one resource that found them useful for storing sewing bobbins

Right now I store my bobbins in a travel soap case that works pretty well. My biggest problems with bobbins isn’t really storing them, but instead they come slightly unraveled and the extra thread becomes entangled with that of my other bobbins. Although this storage solution doesn’t fix that entirely, it does help, and it is yet another solution that can take storage vertical. The more vertical storage ideas I come up with, the more I wished I had a wall and not windows behind my desk (although I do like looking outside when I craft…hmm).

There really isn’t any trick to putting your bobbins on these rings, just open them up and slide them on. I am going to hang them from a shelf I have on my desk, but I was thinking it would be great if you tied some silk ribbon to the ring and hung them down the wall…think visual appeal people! After all, this is our creative space, it should inspire us! Thanks for reading!
