Around the House 7.0 – Bleach Pen

I subscribe to about a dozen crafting blogs that I peruse every week. This week one of the blogs featured a t-shirt spoiled by bleach transformed into a t-shirt designed with bleach! As I read the blog I could not help but wonder if bleach would have a similar effect on paper.

I picked up a Clorox bleach pen from the grocery store, only $3.00, and went to work in my studio. The pen I purchased has a small fine-tip on one end, and a multi-tip ‘scrubbing brush’ on the alternate end. I chose a bright, Spring color scheme. On a scrap piece of paper (always test with a scrap piece of paper, if nothing else to get a handle on the pen’s bleach flow) I tested the pen to see the effect. The orange paper yielded the best result in a bright yellow color.

I lined up a ruler along the bottom of the paper and tried to make a polka dot every quarter of a inch. The end result turned out very simple, but very fun. The stamp is an Inkadinkadoo clear stamp set piece, and the metal flower is from Making Memories.

Thanks for reading, have you experimented bleach with your craft projects? Let us know in our comments section!
