Music Monday 1.0 – Zac Brown Band

One of my favorite winners from the Grammy’s last night is the Zac Brown Band, Best New Artists of 2010. As part of the new Music Monday series, I will be listening to music from specific artists and creating a card that the music inspires me to create. I spent today listening to Foundation from the Zac Brown Band. For their first album it has made quite an impression, not only did they haul in a Grammy this year, but also had several number one hits throughout the year.

Their first single ‘Chicken Fried’ is one of those hits. I was particularly struck by the following verse:

And its funny how it’s the little things in life that mean the most
Not where you live, what you drive or the price tag on your clothes
There’s no dollar sign on a piece of mind this I’ve come to know
So if you agree have a drink with me
Raise your glasses for a toast

Friends. In my opinion the presence of friends in ones life is an overwhelming necessity. So I decided I wanted to create a card for a friend, with a country theme. I decided to go with a brighter color scale but featuring the traditional colors of a farm: red, green, yellow. I chose a paper design that features foliage but in a modern sense. My final country accent is a G Studio stamp of a small bird.

As always comments are much appreciated. If you want to check out the Zac Brown Band, visit  Thanks for looking! Check out this card and more in our Etsy store!
