Around the House 4.0 – Fabric

Everyone has extra fabric lying around, and don’t just assume that you don’t! Think about that old T-shirt or a handkerchief you have collecting dust in your drawer. This week I chose to use a piece of fabric leftover from a former project as the key element in my Around the House project. I chose a blue and white floral fabric; I had a 5” x 7” perfect for pretty much any card that I wanted to create. After a special request from my Mom…I had the perfect card in mind.

Since my Mom asked for a card that looked like a purse, I thought…great! Purses are made from fabric, so I can make this work no problem. I used my SCAL software to cutout the purse shape. After tracing the shape onto the fabric I used some nice, sharp scissors to cut out the fabric. The final step was to adhere my Cricut cutouts, and custom stamped ribbon. Here’s the final result.
